The "GLORY" NEWSLETTER

This edition of The "Glory" Newsletter is focusing on HOPE.

Benefits of Faith?

Are there really health benefits to being a Christian?
Can hope really make a difference?
Yes! Studies have shown that faith and hope affect people in the following ways.

REDUCED:
Alcohol, nicotine, and drug use...
Depression, hostility, and anxiety...
Blood pressure...
Death anxiety...

INCREASED:
Marital satisfaction...
Life satisfaction...
Job satisfaction...
Self esteem...
General health...
Quality of life in cancer patients...
Survival...

Faith and hope take courage. But there are such great results.

So waht are the benefits of not having hope?

The benefits of NO hope can actually be very strong and attractive for many people.
Those who like to be a victim are usually "hopeless". Now why would anyone like to be a victim? Because they get used to it and it feels normal. Not very many people like to go into new uncharted territory... most of us like to go where we've been before. The familiar feels good and safe. Well, some people seemingly love the chaos and torture of hurtful feelings and hopelessness. Depression and resentment "feels good". It's normal to be "down and out".
Because it's scary to change, many people choose to stay in the normalcy of such darkness. Despondency is what is known and so that's where many people like to dwell.
One other benefit of not choosing to be hopeful is not failing. If you don't try, you can't fail. Thus, you can sabotage life: so that you never move or attempt anything great for God... There's no fear of failure, because nothing ever happens. This is safety and this is also a life without true hope.
I'm so glad you have decided to step forward. I'm so glad you are a person who hopes. Your investment in "Transformed for Glory" signifies a desire for health. Your investment of time and energy in reading and doing the Transforming Work assignments signifies that you believe God can and will work in your life.
...with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26, KJV.)

Join me in giving God all the Glory, honor and praise.

Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,
According to the power that worketh in us,
Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus through all ages,
World without end. Amen.
(Ephesians 3:20-21, KJV.)

In Christ's Service with love,

Your sister, Karen
